A brief History of Jackson® Guitars...

In the late 1970's during the MTV era, musicians began demanding more from their instruments. Grover Jackson and his fellow craftsmen solved the problem by developing high-performance custom guitars, each bearing Jackson's name on their headstocks. The guitars became wildly popular among many up and coming musicians. One key to Jackson's success was his colaboration with, at the time an unknown guitarist, Randy Rhoads. Randy needed a distinctive guitar for his new band with Ozzy Osbourne, so together Grover and Randy designed such a guitar by sketching it out on a napkin. This guitar came to be known as the Concorde. It didn't last long. However, before it was replaced by a similar guitar with features suggested by Randy Rhoads himself. This guitar came to be known as Jackson's first guitar, the Jackson Rhoads.
